Preston's Roboquad

I saved $70 to get a new robot.  I call it Spider.  Spider has lots of flashing lights and buttons.  It came in 3 boxes!  Spider has 4 legs and a very long neck.  Different colour buttons on the remote make Spider do different things.

Ice Skating

Rooftop ice skating in Austin.  Boys did awesome.

Christmas and New Year's

We spent Christmas and New Year's in Austin.  Grandma and Grandpap came down from Pennsylvania with Baba (great-grandma) who is 90!

snow crab legs, yum!

Pedernales State Park

Pedernales Falls State Park is located about an hour outside of Austin.  We headed there with the cousins and Grandpap one day to check it out.  There are trails throughout the park, but we followed the river.  The Pedernales River flows through the park and has a limestone bed.  All along the sides of the river were huge rocks to climb over and jump across.  We walked (jumped, climbed up and down) for a bit, then took our shoes off and had lunch beside the river.  It was amazing no one ended up getting washed down the falls!

12 Days of Christmas

The Dallas Arboretum creates a wonderful display of the 12 Days of Christmas.  We had the opportunity to one of the first to walk through the gardens in the evening and view the displays at night.  It was magical (but a bit freezing!) and got us in the Christmas spirit.  Each 'day' had it's own gazebo and music played throughout.  The trail was around 1 km long, and we got hot chocolates to warm us up.

Dallas World Aquarium

We visited the Dallas World Aquarium.  It felt a bit like a rainforest.  There was so much more than marine life.  Monkeys and sloths, sharks and stingrays, snakes and frogs....even little blue penguins!

Shark!

These little monkeys looked like the Lorax.

When we got home, Preston made some of the creatures we saw with playdough.

Mason turns 1!

We celebrated Mason's first birthday in Austin with cousins Owen and Ella and Aunt Sherry and Uncle Scott.
Think Adam was more excited than Mason!
