Reunion Tower
We visited Reunion Tower in Dallas. It stands 171 meters tall and is the 15th tallest building in Dallas. From the top we could see for miles around (because Texas is so flat!)
The Alamo and San Antonio Riverwalk
The Riverwalk is a series of canals that run thru part of San Antonio. We took a boat tour and were able to see all the buildings, shops, restaurants and bars that line the river.
Our cousins Owen and Ella came with us on the tour of the Alamo. The Texans fought Mexico in the Battle of the Alamo in 1836. Most of the Texans died and they lost the battle.
Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo
The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a huge event held every year, similar to the A&P show but on a much larger scale. We were able to see the animals getting prepped for judging. It was a bit funny seeing cows getting their fur clipped and blow-dried.
There was a carnival set up on the show grounds, so the boys were able to enjoy some rides.
The Rodeo was amazing. They did calf roping, barrel racing, wagon races, riding bucking broncos and even bull riding. The bulls were massive!
Dallas Zoo
The Dallas Zoo was lots of fun. They even had a tuatara! Adam and Preston enjoyed the snakes the most. Mason was saying 'wow' the whole day.
